Thank You
Host: Kay Bodude & Family
Another fantastic MCJ Family Reunion is in the books and we're still buzzing with excitement from the fantastic time we had in Arizona. Please join me in recognizing our gracious hosts in Arizona for a truly memorable experience and the excellent administration of the three day event. Yay! The financial report is attached below and speaks to how well our hosts handled completing all the arrangements, handling the finances and accomplishing this without having to raise additional funds for the scholarship. Bravo! on a job well done. The host committee was led by our MCJ VP Kay Bodude and assisted by her very talented team. Sorry that I do not have all the names but we thank you all for the great work put forth.

Upcoming Reunions
2026 - Memphis, TN.
2027 – Austin (may need additional year of planning, will advise)
2028 – Las Vegas
2029 – Dayton (Interested, needs full group approval).
2030 – New Orleans (Interested, needs full group approval)
Two takeaways from our discussions on the upcoming host schedule. The first is that Moses, who was going to be our host in 2026 in Indianapolis called to say that he is unable to host because he has plans to relocate to Nashville, Tenn. Fran (in Memphis) was able to step up by taking 2026 instead, and we will now be in Memphis in 2026, instead of Indianapolis.
The other very important takeaway is that we are seeing a definite greater interest shown by younger family members, (the next generation) in taking the responsibility of hosting the reunion. That’s great! This is true in the case of Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Dayton. We definitely want to encourage our next generation but at the same time we will work with them to make sure they understand the full weight of the responsibility, and are up to the task. Going forward, we will enlist the assistance and feedback of the full reunion membership to help navigate this transition.
The subscription idea is viable, and a committee was appointed to study this idea further and come back to the full group with a specific recommendation for implementation.
